Palmiers are classic French puff pastry dough biscuits that are folded and rolled several times, then cut into thin strips, sprinkled generously with sugar and baked.

Palmiers which literally mean “Palms” in French come out of the oven golden brown and flaky. The sugar on top caramelizes and gives these heavenly delights a crisp brown crust.

Due to their simplicity Palmiers pair well with other desserts such as ice cream. A simple addition of spices...nutmeg, cinnamon or cardamom further enhance their flavour.

These are for you darling.
Enjoy them with a nice pot of Earl Grey tea.

  22. Hi Duchess,
With the wedding fayre to organize at Brympton Towers your standards keep me on my toes.
As it will be Valentine's weekend I thought cream teas with heart shaped scones, delicious, and a high layered strawberry filled heart shaped cake . Can't you just imagine all those young girls with their lives ahead of them exploring the house and grounds ,drinking in all of Brympton's loveliness.
The vintage tea sets will be out and enjoyed by all .
Love to you my dear,my afternoon nap calls,

  24. The Palmiers look yummy. I'd like to try baking them sometime. Today it is still unusally cold for GA, so I'm making a big pot of split pea soup and fresh baked bread (frozen bread dough - I'm not that ambitious). ;-)

  28. Duchess, thank you for visiting the other day! I love reading your comments! What a wonderful snack! The only problem is, I don't think I could stop at just ONE! I just don't have the will power! I love your poetry on the side bar of friendships. I love coming here because I adore ROSES. I use to have a rose garden where I lived before, and I am slowly trying to bring them into my garden again, but I have such a small garden! Thank you for sharing your beautiful roses and sweet thoughts as well as treats! hugs and smiles across the miles....

  47. Hi Duchess!
I had a wee computer issue today. I went in to change something in my blog profile and I ended up changing the wrong thing and I think I may have severed all connections I had - links and blog followers and that sort of thing. I still want to be your blog friend. If you still want to follow me, you may have to redo it. I learn everything on the computer through trial and error and this was one big error! Sorry about that.
