Guess who is coming to tea?

I often ponder, if presented with the opportunity,
who would I choose to have tea with.
I have narrowed my list down to three very special women,
and ultimately to just one.
Scroll down to see who I've selected.

HRH Diana, Princess of Wales

If you could have tea with anyone (dead or alive) who would it be?

  2. Hello Duchess. yes, tea with the beautiful Princess Diana would be wonderful... she would be one of my choices, but I do believe I shall choose Marjolein Bastin, my favorite Nature artist and fellow Nature lover... her Nature sketches are so beautiful and her thoughts on life touch my heart...and bring me peace and serenity so often... I would love to chat one on one with her over a spot of tea... Bisous... Lady Julie Marie

  38. What a wonderful, wonderful question. I didn't want to just gloss over it. I decided to give it some time and as I woke up this morning, it came to me. Of course, definitely, I would LOVE to have my new friends from the blogging world over for tea - including you dear, sweet Duchess. What a fun meeting of minds and hearts that would be.

I think it would become one of those moments where time slows down and the afternoon lingers. I'm sure that there would be lots of laughter and much encouragement and that peace and joy would hang heavily over us. Wonderful!

  61. Dearest Duchess,
A splendid choice for your tea companion. Now my own choice is rather odd, even I was startled when his name popped into my head, I think there is something so completely fascinating about Peter Mandelson, I know he represents political views completely on the other side of my own spectrum, but I find him marvellous to listen to and to watch when interviewed even by master TV hardmen he always makes even the most cutting remarks often sound charming. As I said a strange choice but I'm sure an intersting afternoon. Happy and blissful weekend. xx

And believe it or not, I would like to have tea with Prince Charles, and then take a tour of the garden at Highgrove.

  71. How I wish I had met the lovely Princess Diana before she died. It was such a shock to me the morning the news broke of her sudden death, my husband came upstairs to tell me as I was still in bed and he said 'Di is dead'. We know someone by the name of Di and I thought he meant her, he never explains himself clearly - a typical man, he then clarified it with 'Princess' - I was aghast. I had to get up there and then and go downstairs to listen and watch the news on TV.

It was a very sad day for our country.
