Rose Tea Cottage

Where tea is served at half past four

A cup of tea to say thank you for all the things you've done
And wishes that the day will bring you happiness and fun

My lovely friend Bernideen has bestowed upon me the
"Blogger Friendship Award". Her blog is loaded with beautifully presented afternoon tea related posts and lovely photos. Do take a moment to pop in for a cup of tea and a bite to eat.

My darlings, life has suddenly placed too many crème scones on my Royal Albert plate. I am a little encumbered by my impending trip and by life's this and that. I'm doing the best I can, and promise you all that I will stop by to take tea with you soon and remember my lovelies
"When it is dark enough, you can see the stars" ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Always remember to forget the things that made you sad
But never forget to remember the things that made you glad

Always remember to forget the friends that proved untrue
But never forget to remember those that have stuck by you

Always remember to forget the troubles that passed away
But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day

My darlings wishing you a week full of sweet blessings.

Oh, spring came to my garden
And caught it unaware
Wearing just a few tiny blossoms
In desperate need of care

But when spring left my garden
Its work so deftly done
Many, many hyacinths
Were dancing in the sun

My darlings dance your way through a lovely Sunday.

My darlings like squirrels hiding their nuts,
I have been hiding my awards and now
it is time to reveal them.

Thank you so much my darlings for the kind and comforting words you left for me on my previous post. I am so grateful for the abundance of love that you send my way each and everyday. You have all been a constant source of support for me, you've been by my side through sorrow and joy. I simply do not know what I would do without you my darlings. I know that I am truly blessed to have you all in my life.

Thank you

If flowers grow in Heaven
Lord please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Mum’s arms
And tell her they're from me
Tell her I love her and miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile
Because remembering her is easy
I do it every day
But there's an ache within my heart
Because I am missing her today

Today, the 20th of April is a bittersweet day for me.
It is my mum's birthday, it's also the day she went to heaven.

Mum I miss you terribly and wish you were here.
I love you mum, always have and always will.

For each new morning with its light
For rest and shelter of the night
For health and food, for love and friends
For everything Thy goodness sends

Thank you

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I read someplace that gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. My darlings this morning loads of fair blossoms are springing from my soul because I am so grateful for our friendship.

Thank you

Today I am hosting an afternoon tea over at my lovely friend Melissa's blog, Smitten by Britain. Melissa is an American with an insatiable appetite for all things British. Her fascination with Great Britain started with British rock when she was in her early teens and just grew from there. She once called Britain home and although she left Britain years ago, Britain has never left Melissa. Her blog is full of interesting and informative posts and video clips all about Britain..a true Britophile as she likes to style herself. My darlings, please pop over and join us for tea. You can find us here or by clicking on the photo above. Don't be late lovelies, remember tea is served at half past four.

Happy Monday my darling

Dance as though no one is watching
Love as though you've never been hurt
Sing as though no one can hear you
Live as though heaven is on earth

My darlings
Dance
Sing
Love
Live
As though it's the weekend
Oh! Wait it is the weekend!!
Have a lovely one then

Friendship, thoughtfulness, prayers, best wishes, caring advice and kind comments, all of these and more, you have given me without measure. I thank you with tons of love and deeply felt gratitude.

My lovelies I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. I am happy to report I celebrated Easter free of migraine, had a fabulous time, ate way too much food and overdosed on chocolate. On Saturday, I bumped into an old friend, and now I am off to have lunch with her (the eating never stops). Wishing you a marvellous week my darlings.

My darlings do forgive me for not being a good blogging friend of late. This hasn't been a good week for me as I have had a blinding migraine everyday. I feel terrible for not being able to visit your blogs and to respond to your comments and emails. I am hoping to get rid of this nasty migraine and to return to blogging soon. I just couldn't let Easter pass without posting my good wishes for you.

May God bless you at Easter
and keep you all year through

May God give you all the faith you need
to make your dreams come true

May His love and wisdom always help
to guide you on your way

May His light shine down upon you now
to bless your Easter Day

Wishing every bunny a joyous and blessed Easter

Happy Easter my Darlings
