  4. Darling-

good to read, that you feel good and that you are able to enjoy the summer.

    Bellinis- mmmmmmmmmmmmh...

I enjoy my garden, when the sun is shining- lying there with my doggie and my old cat - with my daughter- enjoying the warm air... a little pause in my deckchair is like heaven...

I enjoy it to wear sandals (highheels- of course) - swimming naked in the sauna pool- the sun is drying my skin, while I am lying in the deckchair- and I get energy in this way for the whole week... I love pepperminttea, when it´s hot- going with my daughter in the city- buying glitter necklaces for wonderful summerdresses... and darling- I bought a big sunhat- ok, one of many I have- in white with black tender stripes so lovely :-))

I love it to read from you- your wonderful inspirating posts and photos...

God always blesses you, my wonderful friend.
    I think of you-
    Love and kisses- Ines

  16. A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. Loved everything you listed on your post - bellinis are just so delicious - I think that they should be part of the major food groups! Some things I love about summer here at Frog Hollow Farm are hot, sunny days, the scent of honeysuckle in the air, the sound of bluejays squawking as they fly from tree to tree, our raspberries ripening in the garden, the smell of tomatoes on the vine, and watching the Cinderella pumpkins plumping up as the grow. Hope all continues to improve with you and your friend. Oh, I forgot to mention ice cream cones (strawberry or peach) !!
    Ciao, bella!

  21. How did they get those ice cream scoops to stay one on top of the other. That's amazing?
I'm afraid I have difficulty enjoying the summer. I have terrible allergies and I don't do well in extreme heat. I do however prefer it to freezing my bum off. I do love good strawberries though and a nice watermelon. My favorite time of the year is the autumn, which will be here before we know it. Good to hear from you Duchess.

  78. My dearest Duchess,
thank you for popping in. I must apologized for having rarified my visits to my bloggy friends, as well as my posting, due to a lack of time and, I must admit, energy. I've been feeling quite blue over the past months and the medications I've been taking for nearly a year and a half now for my depression do not seem to help a wee bit. hope the summer will bring me some of the energy I'm lacking now in order to get my life back on track.
So sorry to hear about Lady R. My prayers go to her for a winning battle against cancer and to her family that they may have the strength they will need to help go thru chemo.
A big hug and a fab rest of the weekend.

  84. Good Morning Sweet Duchess...
I am so thrilled to be able to pop in a little early today. I am trying to get back up on my feet. I have not pushed, as I certainly do not want to go back for another 8 day visit to the hospital. This illness has really hung on. I go back to the doc on July 9th and he will make a decision as to when I am allowed outdoors again. For now, I am only allowed out for the appointments (dr., x-rays and lab). I am thrilled to be feeling good enough to blog again. This is my second real day back. Yesterday was my first Pink Saturday since I got sick in April. My asthma and lungs appear to be getting a little better, but the are sending me to an ear, nose and throat specialist this Friday, to check out my larynx. I am still quite hoarse. Some days not much comes out.

I have missed you immensely and am so thrilled to pop over to the cottage today sweetie. I have to ask you though, How did you get those wonderful scoops to stay on top of each other like that? I love strawberry ice cream the best. It has always been my favorite.

The pinks, pink polish ofcourse. Heidi just polished them for me the other day, to bring a little happiness into my day. She is such a dear daughter.

Stop by soon my sweet friend. I love seeing you. Country hugs and so much love, Sherry

Tall frosty glasses of peach tea.
    Homemade lemon ice cream.
Sunday morning trips to Farmers Market.
Bradley tomatoes, fresh corn, and watermelons.
Lying on a blanket under the stars in August, watching the Perseid meteor showers.
    Crocs without socks.
    Open windows and fluttering curtains.
    Daylight until after 8:00!

  89. Hello your Grace,
I love all these wonderful summer things also. And I would love to have tea with you in my Gazebo. We would have a wonderful afternoon, Of course we would have plenty of company with us...LOL..As soon as you break out the biskets and cookies, we would have peacocks all over us. They would probly snatch treats right out of your hands.I'm serious. My big white peacock grabed food out the mouth of my 150lb's plus rottwieler.Knock him to the ground and rolled him over. That cost us a good $400.00 dollars at the vet. Christmas Snow has never tried to hurt people just the dog.And he took Rip unawears.
Really I do love to go out in the Gazebo and bring a book and read,so it gets used all the time. Its a good place to get away.
Thank you so much for your visit,I so love them.We would have such a good time together.Any time you are down this way...You are always welcome.Have a safe summer Dear One,

  112. Your lovely blog says it all, what beauitful taste you have and brilliant use of color. Summer for me here in Santa Barbara California is long sunsets on the pier or sitting on the beach sipping a local wine, heavenly surf on a perfect sea, long hikes until dusk in the redwood forest, new giraffe babies at the zoo, ice cream downtown at my favorite cafe watching the people go by with my friends. Pink toenails, short shorts and outdoor concerts. Heaven.

  113. My summer favorites are eating ice cream, sunshine, sandals, and not having to wear a jacket. I prefer to eat ice-cream in 24 x 7 days, each and every flowers are my favorite.
