A friend is like a flower,
a rose to be exact,
or maybe like a brand new gate
that never comes unlatched.

A friend is like an owl,
but beautiful and wise,
or perhaps a friend is like a ghost,
whose spirit never dies.

A friend is like those blades of grass
you can never mow,
standing straight, tall, and proud
in a perfect little row.

A friend is like a heart
that goes strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world
if we didn't have a friend?

I apologise for the late posting of my Tea & Friendship Tuesday’s post.
My excuse…. life’s little unexpected surprises. My father hurt himself by a nasty fall last week which resulted in an intolerably painful dislocated neck. We have had our hands full looking after him. He is home from hospital now and doing much better and we pray that he will be up and running soon.

Have a lovely week my blog friends ♥

Duchess

This is a very pretty post!

Thank you for your comments to me on my blog.
I haven't been posting much lately.
My daughter was not feeling well over the weekend, and then she got some kind of a growth on her hip and started running a fever, she is in the hospital for tests now, we should know more tomorrow.
She and my four year old grandson live with us, and he just started Pre-K last week, so I've been running around with that too.

Thank you for being so kind and asking after me, I appreciate it so much!
I probably won't be posting too much for awhile, but I'm going to try and visit and comment.
With sincere appreciation,
Eileen

Lovely blog as usual Duchess.

Sorry to hear about your father's fall and I hope he will soon be feeling better.

An old friend of mine had a fall in her garden recently and bumped her head on the wall of the house, and damaged her back. She has had to have an x-ray to see if she has any crushed bones, luckily she has not broken anything. She just lost her balance on the edge of the path as far as she knows and then fell over. It is so easily done. She is still feeling rather stiff and finding it difficult to get up out of her chair.
