Rose Tea Cottage

Where tea is served at half past four

I thank you all for graciously accepting the Most Regal Blog Award.
You may now style yourselves with the title of "Lady",
which you all so richly deserve.
My darlings, wear your tiaras in good health.

This week was a busy, yet fun filled week for me.
I have my lovely cousin Cathy visiting me from South of France.
She will return home the first week of February. Thus far, despite the nasty weather, we've had a marvellous time...good food, good wine and good company. What else can I ask for?

While blog hopping, I noticed most blogs have Valentine’s Day posts up. That’s when it dawned on me that January is nearly gone
and February is soon upon us. Where has time gone?

Grow old with me! The best is yet to be.
~ Robert Browning

I love this quote, it is one of my favourites.
Ten little words and yet they hold a lifetime of promise,
and hope for a bright and love filled future.
So my friends, stay with me, the best is yet to be.
Meanwhile, have a lovely weekend ♥

Oh no! Valentines Day!!! I knew I sensed a disturbance in the force! Do you ladies KNOW how hard it is to find a "good" present for a girlfriend??? Things have become VERY confusing as to what is too much, what is too little and what is just NOT going to do at ALL!

Maybe I should just "redefine" the relationship until after the holiday....

Just love your blog! Everytime I read it I feel the need to make myself a hot cup of tea. We have a tea kettle, but speaking of Valentines's I told my husband I want a tea pot- maybe cast iron, so I can make my loose leaf tea right in the pot :)

HI Duchess,
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy having your cousin here a little longer. That quote is "ours", lol. My husband and I met in our late 40's and mid 50's and life has been a never ending romance since. We say that to each all the time. Your beautiful roese and words touched my soul tonight. Thank you!
