Good Morning!
How did I miss this? Somehow I missed your post about your Dad breaking his neck. And when I read your post saying his "halo" came off - I gasped.
BEEN THERE - DONE THAT!
Six months after we were married (29 years ago), my husband broke his neck. C7. All his Doctors procrastinated and 3 wanted to operate but his main Dr. said no. He wanted to put him in a Halo. He was young. He would recover.
So 15 days after the break, they "installed"it. For 101 days. Outlook was 50/50. He had it placed - went to work the next day and we just carried on with several little adjustments in our daily life. And when they removed it - he was perfect, in fact better than new.
But it was the hardest 101 days of my life.
I am so happy your Dad is better and recovering.
I am so sorry I missed your original post. Sometimes talking to someone who has been through what you are experiencing, can help - just a little bit. I'm sorry I didn't get to offer you that.
Have a great day!

Happy New Year - it's freezing here in England - it was minus 7 this morning, very cold for our area!!!! brrr.

I'm back at work tomorrow so will be layering up my clothes to keep warm if we have to do playground duty. I may look silly but at least I'll be warm!

Cheese and Crackers!!! As a manly-man I must say that your blog has aroused a certain... hunger! I miss my time in England, as well!
I live in the SE United States... where tea is cheapened, sweetened and made into a swill.

I even miss the boggy winters of England!
